Welcome to Aldgate Kindergarten!

Aldgate Kindergarten is in the Adelaide Hills, just a few minutes from the Freeway between Stirling and Bridgewater and only 20 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. It is located in the grounds of the Aldgate Primary School, on the corner of Strathalbyn Road and Fairview Road at Aldgate. The kindergarten is managed by the Preschool Director and Governing Council.

Children come to our kindergarten from all the nearby townships. At the completion of their time at kindergarten children go on to attend several local DECD Primary schools including Aldgate, Mylor, Heathfield, Scott Creek, Bridgewater, Stirling East, Crafers and several Independent schools.

The outdoor learning area is fully fenced, has garden beds full of native plants, a water course and fully shaded sandpit. Paved paths weave through the yard and there is a lush lawned area shaded by trees. The indoor area is bright and fresh with high ceilings and lots of windows providing natural light.

We offer a flexible service that aims to meet the needs of busy families: this includes Lunch-time care to enable children to access up to two full days of kindergarten per week. Children are eligible for four sessions of preschool at four years of age (Monday to Thursday), and pre-entry for one session per week in the term prior to this. Early entry for children with additional needs can be discussed with the director. Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) is available at Aldgate Primary School before and after kindy. We also offer an Occasional Care program for children from three and a half years of age (depending on preschool enrolments), and a Playgroup for children and their parents/carers on Fridays.
